Finalists: Culture Pioneers Award 2023

Awards

We are overjoyed to announce that our commitment to employee wellbeing has been recognised, and we have been named a finalist in the ‘wellbeing’ category of the 2023 Culture Pioneers Awards. These prestigious awards have been acknowledging individuals and organisations making a significant impact on workplace culture since 2020. The Culture Pioneer Wellbeing Award specifically honors organisations dedicated to evolving their employee wellbeing strategies and taking a comprehensive approach to supporting the mental, emotional, financial, and social needs of their workforce.

What the Culture Pioneer Wellbeing Award Represents

This nomination is not just about acknowledging the efforts of organisations; it’s about recognising the people leaders and teams who are diligently working towards creating an environment that cultivates energy, psychological safety, resilience, and adaptability. It’s about celebrating those who understand the importance of employee wellbeing in the evolving world of work.

For us, we give a particular thanks to our incredible Head of People – Sharon Brooks, who is dedicated to building a company culture that is truly changing the game and has people at the heart of it.

Our Holistic Approach to Wellbeing

At Nordens, we believe that a thriving workplace is built on the foundation of a healthy and happy workforce. Our nomination as a Culture Pioneers finalist reflects our commitment to taking the responsibility of wellbeing seriously. We are dedicated to creating sustainable improvements for all employees, regardless of their circumstances. We’ve worked with wellbeing specialists, coaches and mental health experts to ensure that our whole team are mindful and know how to deal with all circumstances.

Our approach goes beyond traditional wellness programs; we are committed to a holistic strategy that addresses the multifaceted aspects of wellbeing. From mental and emotional support to financial guidance and fostering social connections, we are constantly evolving our approach to ensure that our employees feel supported in every aspect of their lives.

For us, ‘me days’, regular team socials (including a trip to Thorpe Park), weekly full company catch-ups and flexible working arrangements are just some of the ways we have built a culture we are proud of. We will be sharing more about how we have transformed wellbeing at Nordens in a series of articles to follow.
