Our footballing success raised a bucketload for Great Ormond Street ...

A little update on Sunday’s charity football match…

We WON!!!!!!!!!!! 8-5 which was well deserved, even if we do say so ourselves!!

Our feisty team did us proud, despite some stiff opposition from the talented guys at Harold Wood FC.

Thank you to everyone who supported us in making it a huge success for our last charity event of 2018.

A special thank you to all the family and friends who came to support us, and the lovely people who provided us with fruit and chocolate; it couldn’t have been done without you.

Another HUGE thank you to our VAT Manager Kirsty’s dad Gary who runs the team at Harold Wood FC – our thanks to the whole team and the ref for taking us on and welcoming us at Harold Wood Football Club. You were all such good sports!

At the time of writing, we have raised £444.35 from the match, which has taken us to £3623.35 for Great Ormond Street Hospital!  This figure will increase slightly as we haven’t finished counting the cash!

All in all, it was a brilliant afternoon and we had great fun!

Some highlights from the sideline…….

  • Svetla defending the ball from our goal with her face!
  • Jordan and his “scoring” antics are much to be desired… !!
  • Cydney scoring a penalty with the goalkeeper facing the other way!!! (Swing over to Instagram to watch this!)
  • Marissa thinking she was Lionel Messi, but her pass was a sheer fluke!!!!

It was so funny to watch!

Thanks again to everyone who supports us.  If you’d like to donate to Great Ormond Street Hospital or see why it’s our choses charity, please click here.
