Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, the Tax Manager will collaborate effectively within the Tax Department team to provide comprehensive compliance and advisory service to clients and internal stakeholders, adhering to all relevant regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Experience with Tax Advisory and Tax Planning work, comfortable to analyse a clients situation on a case by case basis and confidently provide advice and suggestions in client meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of various tax filings, including but not limited to corporate tax returns, sole trader Self-Assessment tax returns and computations, and other relevant tax documentation, ensuring compliance with deadlines and accuracy of information.
  • Support senior tax professionals in conducting thorough tax research, analysis, and interpretation of tax laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance and recommendations to clients.
  • Support in applying for and maintaining SEIS/EIS applications
  • Support in preparing and submitting R&D Claims
  • Preparing property rental accounts.
  • Review of coding notices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of tax planning strategies aimed at minimising tax liabilities and optimising financial outcomes for clients, under the guidance of senior tax advisors.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax legislation and regulations, proactively identifying potential impacts on clients’ tax positions and providing timely updates and recommendations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the organisation and address tax-related enquiries and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide support in client communications, including responding to queries, preparing correspondence, and assisting in client meetings as required.
  • Assist in ad hoc assignments as they arise.
  • Study support will be provided for ATT and CTA exams

  • 3-5 years experience working in a tax department role.
  • Practical experience in Tax Advisory.
