This new partnership will see us support Essex’s leading conservation charity who focus on protecting the future of the county’s wildlife.
At Nordens our mission is to redefine the industry and elevate business excellence. This doesn’t stop with just being able to provide the highest quality of service- we want to ensure that we’re doing as much as we can to benefit the wider world around us.
The opportunity to partner with the Essex Wildlife Trust is a great way for us to put our values into practice. The EWT was founded in 1959 and protect the future of the wildlife across over 8400 acres of land and 87 sites in Essex and East London. The charity is powered by a dedicated team of volunteers who have worked tirelessly over the last 60 years to transform damaged and degraded habitats into havens for wildlife.
The accountancy industry has not traditionally lent itself towards sustainability but we’re keen to do our bit to change this. Our goal is to make sure that we can lead the way when it comes to ensuring that our business is having a more positive impact on the planet. Some of the initiatives we’ve implemented so far include:
- Installing recycling bins in our offices
- Organising the collection of plastic waste and shredded paper
- Electric vehicle charging points at our South Woodford HQ
- EV salary sacrifice scheme for employees
We’re keen to do even more to reduce our environmental impact and can’t wait to get involved with our new charity partner and contribute to protecting the wildlife around Essex.
